Our Process

Custom jewelry design is a great way to get a look that can’t be achieved with standard, off-the-shelf jewelry mountings. If you have a stone or a collection of stones that are odd sizes or irregular shapes, carving a design out of wax might be the only way to create a piece of jewelry to hold them.

Custom jewelry design is also the best way to get a wedding band to match up perfectly next to an engagement ring with an intricate side profile. Or to remake an older piece that you don’t wear anymore into a new piece you will wear proudly.

ONE-OF-A-KIND WEDDING SETS

Bay Area Diamond Company can recreate jewelry with as little as a sketch on a napkin or screenshot from an Instagram post! We pride ourselves on our ability to create exactly what you are looking for.

On average, it takes about a week to curate drawings for your custom project. If necessary, we can have the designer create a wax impression of the design so you can see it's scale.

(Note that waxes can be misleading because they are bulkier than the finished product will be - once the piece is cast, it needs to be buffed and polished, which will reduce its size slightly.)

REDISCOVER GREATNESS OLD-TO-NEW


Once you decide to start your project with Bay Area Diamond, you can expect your finished product in 4-6 weeks. 

The start-to-finish timeline will be longer depending on how quickly you can come to review the drawings/wax casting. Design changes/modifications also delay the timeline.

If drawings are completed for and you decide not to persue the project, you will incur a $250 charge for the designer's time.
